Giving Back with Lulu Wild: Support Birmingham Children’s Hospital
Darling, the community of Birmingham are the coolest I know. They know how to have a good time and they also know how to give back to those most vulnerable in our incredible big City.
I have always believed that charity begins at home and that all individuals and businesses should support and engage in charity work however they can. Although we know it is not always possible so me and my team but our thinking hats on and thought of a few fun ways we could help our customers and our community.
Charities play a significant role in support and caring for the most vulnerable members of our community, but to continue the incredibly valuable work they do, they are reliant on charitable contributions from businesses and individuals across the UK, people like you and me. And every little bit helps right?
This year, my maternal instinct just drew me into helping out the important charity that is Birmingham Children’s Charity. This incredible charity aims to provide help and support to children (and their families) across Birmingham, who are suffering from a variety of medical conditions. Birmingham Children’s Hospital believes that all children deserve to enjoy their childhood, regardless of the medical conditions that they may have, which is why it provides specialist paediatric care to more than 100,000 children across the UK and beyond. This includes advanced treatments, complex surgical procedures and cutting-edge research, all designed to improve the quality of life of our vulnerable children. We believe the work this charity does is incredibly valuable and we are proud to support and fundraise for them.
There are lots of ways that people like us can make a positive contribution to local charities. One way is by engaging in (or creating) fundraising opportunities. Such as, signing up for an event and asking customers, vendors, friends and family members for sponsorship. Something my hard at work force do by being able to involve themselves in fundraising activities that Birmingham Children’s Hospital offer to us.
Another way businesses and organisations, like us, can fundraise for charity is through the delicious goods that we provide, and this is something we’ve decided to do! I mean why not sip on a tantalising, refreshing mocktail like Passion and soar AND help a little charity. With every 20% of the mocktail sale going to the charity, the act of giving never tasted so good. When customers order our popular Passion and Soar Mocktail, 20% of the £6 mocktail price is donated to charity.
On top of that, the wonderful diners that I welcome into my culinary playground and restaurant are invited to add an extra £1 to their bill, which is then passed onto the very worthy charity. We encourage our customers to donate whenever they can.
