I'm Lulu Wild, and welcome to my world: The Diary of a Wild Child, where you'll see bits and pieces of my life, my fun travels, my favourite products, my tips and tricks, parts of my home, sneak peeks of cool collabs, launches and much more. I'm a self-confessed foodie with an insatiable appetite, and here you will find the tales of all of my culinary adventures.
The Diary of a Wild Child is my happy place, where I love to share all about me and bring you along for the ride. Lulu's is a place where dreaming big is always encouraged, and following your heart is too. I hope that sharing parts of my life and journey can somehow inspire you to live out your own dreams. It's an open journal to you. I hope you enjoy it and it becomes your daily read, because I always love having you come by.
The past 12-plus months have definitely been tough to deal with, but if lockdown has given us anything, it's a clearer view on life. And for many of us, being cooped up in our homes means that now we're ready for some adventure. My new adventure takes place in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, in a little space called Brindley Place.
I was born to roam free and can be found where the wild things are: a place of liberty, a place of shamelessness. It can take a split second or a lifetime to find it, but once you do, you'll be free. There's a wild thing that exists in all of us. It lives in our passions and the people we love. Lulu Wild's aim is to help you not to be afraid of it, but to become it. It's time for you to get wild with me in my new venue, and I'm here to tell you all about it. With the help of a few friends and an artistic vision, we have filled our space with captivating cocktails, boundless bubbles, impeccable interiors and exhilarating entertainment.
Taking inspiration from the beating heart of culinary China, I want to provide you with an authentic experience full of sensational thrills, combining the warmth and intimacy of hospitality and entertainment with the traditions of flavoursome Chinese-inspired cuisine. Even if you're eating alone at Lulu's, you're never alone. And through this, we can not only bond as new friends; we're bound to stay together as lifelong ones.
On entry you can explore our high-toned interiors and ambience, with everything from sensuous cocktails to plates born from China's rich history, picked perfectly with you in mind. Escaping the hustle and bustle of the city centre, you'll experience a magnetic affair, with a seductive selection of cocktails to illuminate your visit and delicate dishes prepared to perfection.
In our home, we'll be serving up a delectable selection of Dim Sum dishes for you to choose from: a traditional Chinese meal made up of small plates of dumplings, believed to have originated in southern China's Guangdong region before eventually making their way to Hong Kong. From our starters, we've hand-picked a range of plates including our Classic Steamed Dim Sum, Scallop and Prawn Shui Mai, Prawn and Chive Dumpling, and Wild Mushroom Dumpling with Coriander.
Once inside, lights will guide you upstairs. Here you'll traverse murals, foliage and a centre-staged grand piano, ready to start your magical adventure with us. You've left the high-end fine dining restaurant showcasing contemporary yet traditional Chinese dishes, and entered the illuminating, extravagant energy of downtown China. Here you'll be able to dance the night away, eat until your heart's content, and find yourself continuously entertained. An intimate meal for two or a big night out for your gal pal's birthday: I'd love to be part of your fabulous evening either way.
