Cocktail Bar in Birmingham
Dry ice, sharp technique and a drinks list with real ambition, poured canalside at Brindleyplace in Birmingham city centre until 2am at the weekend.
Cocktails with a bit of theatre
The bar is half the reason people come to Lulu’s. Signature serves arrive with dry ice rolling off the glass, the classics are made properly, and the house list is built around the flavours of the kitchen: lychee, yuzu, rhubarb, elderflower and tea. Browse the full drinks menu before you come in.

Bars in Brindleyplace, right on the canal
Among the bars in Brindley Place, ours is the one on the water at The Waters Edge, two minutes off Broad Street and a short walk along the towpath from Gas Street Basin. That makes it an easy first stop before a show at the Utilita Arena, Symphony Hall or the ICC, and a natural last stop after dinner, with seats, table service and conversation you can actually hear.
Food and cocktails in Birmingham

This is still a Chinese restaurant at heart, and the drinks are built to sit beside the food. Order a round of dumplings with your Lychee Martini, share small plates over a few cocktails, or make an evening of it with dinner first. On Friday to Sunday afternoons the bottomless brunch brings 90 minutes of free-flowing Pornstar Martinis, Lychee Martinis and Prosecco with two courses from the kitchen. See the food menu for what to pair.
A late-night bar in the city centre
We pour until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays and until 11pm Sunday to Thursday, so there is no need to move on to find a late drink. Walk in for a cocktail at the bar, or book a table if you are coming as a group on a weekend night. For a quieter one, a midweek evening at the bar is about as relaxed as cocktails in the city centre get.
Hire the bar for a private party

For a birthday, a leaving do or a company night out, take a bar of your own. The Hideout upstairs has its own private bar, a stage and a baby grand piano, and holds up to 80 standing or 56 seated. For something bigger, the whole venue takes up to 200 standing. Drinks can be set up as arrival cocktails, a package per head or a tab with a limit, and private hire is priced on a minimum spend. See venue hire to enquire.
