Gig at the Arena? Walk the canal for five minutes and you are at our door. Eat properly before the show instead of queueing for a hot dog inside.
Eating near Utilita Arena Birmingham: the five-minute walk

The walk from Lulu Wild to Utilita Arena Birmingham follows the canal towpath the whole way, no roads to cross, about five minutes at an amble. That means you can sit down at 6pm, work through a round of dim sum and a couple of cocktails, and still be through the arena doors before the support act finishes their soundcheck.
The Events and Show Menu, £35 a head
Built for gig nights and big groups: sharing plates that come out quickly, so nobody spends the first act watching the clock. Small plates first, then larger dishes passed round the table.
- Small plates: aromatic crispy duck rolls, shiitake and shimeji truffle spring rolls, bang bang prawns, chilli wings
- Large plates: Sanpei chicken, rosemary black pepper lamb, chilli paneer, wok-fried beef in black bean sauce, wui wor veg
- Vegan and vegetarian dishes run through it, so mixed groups are covered
Tight on time? Quick Dining Before Show
Two courses for £45, chosen from a shorter menu that the kitchen can turn round fast: crispy duck rolls or BBQ pork belly bao to start, then kung po prawns, Dragon chicken or spicy tofu with rice or Singapore noodles. Tell us your show time when you book and we pace it to your tickets.
Timing your table on a show night
Pre-show tables are the first to go on a big arena night, so book as early as your plans allow and add your show time to the booking note. For a 7.30pm start, a 5.30pm or 6pm table gives you a relaxed meal and an unhurried walk along the water. Running late? Sit at the bar and order small plates; they arrive quickest.
Groups heading to the same gig
A birthday at a concert, or a work night out with tickets already booked: for bigger groups the set menus take the ordering off the table, and the upstairs Hideout, with its own bar, can be hired for a private pre-show dinner before everyone walks over together.
And afterwards

On Friday and Saturday nights we serve until late and the bar runs until 2am, so the post-show debrief has a home too. The walk back from the arena passes us anyway, and the canalside is far calmer than the queues for a taxi on King Edwards Road. Looking for a pub near the arena for a pre-gig drink rather than a meal? Sit at the bar instead: wine, Prosecco, cocktails and small plates, a five-minute walk from the doors in Brindley Place.
