Date Night in Birmingham

Canalside tables, sharing plates and cocktails with a little theatre. The kind of night that does the impressing for you.

Why it works

Good dates need three things: somewhere that feels like an occasion, food you can share, and no pressure to leave. Lulu Wild sits on the water’s edge at Brindleyplace, the menu is built around passing plates across the table, and the bar keeps going long after the kitchen, until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.

The route to a good evening

Walk the canal before your table. Start with cocktails from the drinks menu, share your way through dim sum and a couple of mains, then decide over dessert whether the night ends here or carries on at the bar. For zero decision-making, the signature set menus handle the whole meal from £35 a head.

Beyond the second date

Anniversaries, birthdays and yes, proposals: mention the occasion on your booking and the team will look after the details. If you want the story to start somewhere more private, ask about The Nest, our garden-feel private room.

Asked before booking

Is Lulu Wild good for a first date?
Very. Sharing plates give you something to talk about, the room is dark and warm without being silent, and if it is going well the bar pours until late. If it is not, the dim sum was still worth the trip.
Can you do anything for anniversaries or proposals?
Tell us the occasion when you book. We have hosted plenty of anniversaries and the occasional proposal, and the team will help you pick the right table and time it properly.
What should we order for two?
A round of dim sum to start, one wok dish and one house special to share, and two cocktails from the signature list. The set menus also work beautifully for two on the £35 and £47.50 tiers.
